It was a big week for Malaki Branham.

The first-year Buckeye earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors Monday after averaging 23.7 points per game in three contests against Indiana, Illinois and Maryland this past week. The Buckeyes went 2-1, losing only to Maryland on the road on Sunday, but Branham continues to make waves with his stellar play as just a freshman at Ohio State.

Branham helped power Ohio State to an overtime win over Indiana last Monday that saw him rack up 27 points, and on Thursday, Branham scored 31 against Illinois on 9-for-13 shooting. Branham came back to Earth on Sunday, scoring just 13 points on 4-of-13 attempts, but he's firmly established himself as a go-to scorer and offensive play maker for the Buckeyes late in the season.

Branham and the Buckeyes return to the Schottenstein Center to play Nebraska at 7 p.m. Tuesday, and close out the regular season with home matchups against Michigan State and Michigan on Thursday and Sunday.
