Ohio State's alumni basketball team won't be leaving the Buckeye State this year.

Every one of Carmen's Crew's TBT games is set to be played within the state of Ohio this year with Columbus serving as a regional host site and Dayton hosting the TBT Championship.

Columbus and Ohio State will be one of four regional sites for the 2021 edition of The Basketball Tournament, with Carmen's Crew serving as one of two featured teams (along with Dayton alumni team Red Scare) in the Columbus region. Games will be hosted at Ohio State's Covelli Center from July 23-27. All games will be televised by ESPN.

“Columbus has been home to TBT for four consecutive years and we're excited to partner with Ohio State and the Columbus Sports Commission to bring it back for a fifth this summer,” TBT founder and CEO Jon Mugar said. “We love the fans there and watching them support Carmen's Crew. They have also been awesome supporters of TBT generally, and I wouldn't be surprised if Columbus has more Elam Ending fans per capita than any city in the world.”

The Covelli Center was slated to be a host site of last year's tournament before the COVID-19 pandemic forced the entire tournament to be played within a bubble in Nationwide Arena.

Should Carmen's Crew advance past the regional, they won't have to travel far to compete for the title as the TBT Championship will be played in Dayton from July 31 to Aug. 3.

Carmen's Crew does not yet have a complete roster, but William Buford, David Lighty, Jon Diebler and Evan Ravenel have already committed to this year's tournament while Jared Sullinger and Evan Turner will continue to serve as the team’s general manager/head coach and assistant coach, respectively.
