The Las Vegas NBA Summer League is set to wrap up Monday evening with the championship game between the San Antonio Spurs and Phoenix Suns, which means one former Ohio State player will be going for a championship.

Shannon Scott

Shannon Scott is the starting point guard for the Spurs' Summer League team and he's had a strong summer thus far. The former Buckeye has played in eight games (with six starts) and has averaged 5.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. Scott has also connected on over 57 percent of his shots from the field, including a game-winner in the quarterfinals against the Boston Celtics.

In addition to Scott, four other former Ohio State players competed in the various Summer Leagues the NBA has in July: D'Angelo Russell, Aaron Craft, Lenzelle Smith Jr. and LaQuinton Ross. Let's see how each of them fared.

D'Angelo Russell

The player most Ohio State fans — and everyone around the league, really — wanted to see was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, Russell. The silky smooth left-handed guard had a bit of an up-and-down time in the Summer League, though.

In the five games he played out in Vegas, Russell had per-game averages of 11.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists. However, he shot just 37.7 percent from the field and made only 2 of his 17 attempts from 3-point range. Russell also struggled to take care of the ball, committing a total of 26 turnovers.

Russell's best game of the Summer League was his last, however, as he went for 21 points and grabbed four rebounds.

Aaron Craft

Competing for the Golden State Warriors, Craft opened some eyes as he tries to break into the NBA. Craft and the Warriors were eliminated in the quarterfinals out in Las Vegas, but the former Ohio State star averaged 4.8 points, 4.5 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.

Craft's 27 assists were also the most all time by a Warriors player in Summer League action.

LaQuinton Ross

Ross played in three games out in Vegas for the Washington Wizards. Ross averaged just 2.3 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game. Ross' best performance in the Las Vegas Summer League came in his final game against the Denver Nuggets, when he scored five points and grabbed a pair of rebounds.

Lenzelle Smith Jr.

Competing for the Orlando Magic in the Salt Lake City Summer League, Smith appeared in five games. Smith had per-game averages of 3.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists as he played in just over 15 minutes per game.
