The Los Angeles Lakers finished their time in the Las Vegas NBA Summer League on Friday night with an 81-74 loss to the Utah Jazz. But despite that defeat, former Ohio State star D'Angelo Russell turned in his best performance in Las Vegas with 21 points (10-of-20 shooting) and four rebounds.
Overall, Russell finished his five Summer League games with per-game averages of 11.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists. However, he shot just 37.7 percent from the field, made only 2 of his 17 shots from behind the 3-point line and had 26 total turnovers.
When asked afterward with how he thought his Summer League went as a whole, Russell said: "Not good. For me, not good. I know what I'm capable of and I know the work that we put in before we came here as a team and I don't think we played to our full potential."
