Nine more Ohio State athletics legends will enter the school's Hall of Fame in 2026.
Former Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett and baseball standout Nick Swisher headline this year's nine-member Hall of Fame class. They are joined by women's hockey's Jincy Dunne, women's volleyball's Danielle Meyer, football's Chris Sanders and Stan White, and track and field's Katie Borchers, Diane Dixon and Oyesade Olatoye.

Barrett enters the Athletics Hall of Fame as one of the greatest quarterbacks in Ohio State football history. The two-time Big Ten champion and four-time winner over Michigan started 44 games for the Buckeyes and set 39 combined Ohio State (34) and Big Ten (five) records during his career. He finished his career as Ohio State's all-time leader in total victories (38), passing yards (9,434), touchdown passes (104) and quarterback rushing yards (3,263), while his 147 total touchdowns rank fourth in NCAA history.
Swisher also carved out a legendary Ohio State career before becoming a first-round MLB draft pick and a World Series champion with the New York Yankees. The 2000 Big Ten Freshman of the Year and two-time first-team All-Big Ten selection remains one of the top hitters in program history, ranking among the Buckeyes' all-time leaders in home runs (35), RBIs (156) and walks (131). In recognition of his impact on the program, the playing surface at Bill Davis Stadium was named Nick Swisher Field in 2015.
Sanders and White represent the football portion of the class alongside Barrett. Sanders was a standout wide receiver and track and field athlete, earning Ohio State Male Athlete of the Year honors in 1994 after helping the Buckeyes win a Big Ten title in football and earning 10 All-American honors in track. White was a three-year letterwinner under Woody Hayes, earning All-Big Ten honors in 1971 after leading Ohio State in tackles during its 1970 national championship season.
Borchers, Dixon and Olatoye comprise the women's track and field and cross country honorees. Borchers became the only two-time cross country All-American in school history and won three Big Ten championships in the 800 meters. Dixon won the 1983 NCAA Outdoor 440-yard championship before later earning an Olympic silver medal in the 4x400-meter relay. Olatoye won the 2019 NCAA Weight Throw Championship, earned nine All-American honors and represented Nigeria at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Dunne and Meyer round out the class with accomplishments in women's hockey and volleyball. Dunne was a four-time captain and the first Buckeye women's hockey player to earn two first-team All-American honors, helping Ohio State reach its first Frozen Four in 2018. She later earned a silver medal with the United States at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. Meyer was a two-time AVCA All-American and three-time first-team All-Big Ten selection who ranks among the top hitters in program history.

The nine-member class will officially be inducted into the Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame this fall.
