For the third straight year, Ohio State’s spirit squad stood above the rest as the D1A Spirit Program Game Day National Champions.

Ohio State’s spirit squad made the trek to Orlando, Florida, for the yearly UCA & UDA National Champions and continued its stretch of dominance during the weekend. The Buckeyes’ Spirit Squad wowed the fans at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort en route to the title, scoring a 188.5333 out of the maximum 200 to earn the national championship.

The Buckeyes’ stretch of dominance is unprecedented. Prior to 2024, the spirit program had not won a national championship since 1993.

Ohio State held off Oklahoma and Washington for the title, as the Sooners mustered a 182.6333 and the Huskies produced a 180.2667 raw score, falling well behind the Buckeyes’ 188.5333.

The 2026 UCA & UDA National Championship College Cheerleading and Dance National Championship continue throughout the weekend and are streaming live on Varsity TV and the FloSports App.
