This Week in Twitter – or should we say This Week in X (TWIX?) – is a look at some of the week's best and most entertaining tweets from Buckeyeland and beyond.

Ohio State’s players had their official team pictures taken last week. Naturally, that meant many Buckeyes taking to social media to share their photos with the world before starting preseason camp on Thursday.

As Tegra Tshabola competes for Ohio State’s starting right tackle job, fellow offensive tackle Luke Montgomery and fellow Buckeye redshirt freshman Hero Kanu expressed their belief in him (Kanu compared Tshabola to 2022 All-American Paris Johnson Jr.), with Tshabola reciprocating by sending a message hyping up Montgomery.

Kanu, Tshabola and Carson Hinzman also enjoyed attending a Columbus Crew game on Monday.

Devin Brown, Jack Sawyer and TreVeyon Henderson helped the Buckeyes begin counting down the days to the season opener (if you’re wondering, there’s TC Caffey/Reid Carrico days until the start of the season as of today).

Ohio State used a photo of Xavier Johnson to have some fun with Twitter’s new name:

Carnell Tate thanked everyone who has shown him support since the death of his mother last month, and he gave some love back to Ohio State fans who were in attendance for Friday’s second practice of preseason camp.

TreVeyon Henderson shared a wholesome moment of his own with Ohio State fans at Friday’s practice.

Ohio State shared plenty of photos and videos of the football action from the first days of preseason camp, too.

Before camp began, Ohio State’s players dined on steak and crab legs, which certainly looked fancier than the hot dogs and chicken tenders served at Michigan’s BBQ for recruits last weekend.

That wasn’t the only opportunity for Ohio State to celebrate a win over Michigan this past week, as Aaron Scott Jr.’s commitment to Ohio State prompted a barrage of Twitter reactions from Buckeye staffers, commits and fellow Springfield native Braxton Miller.

Ohio State commits Deontae and Devontae Armstrong and Sam Williams-Dixon shared a moment together after their high school football teams, St. Edward (Armstrongs) and Pickerington North (Williams-Dixon), scrimmaged against each other on Friday.

The biggest news of the week in college sports came on Friday, when Oregon and Washington joined the Big Ten, and Ohio State and Gene Smith welcomed the Ducks and Huskies to the conference via Twitter.
