My 2nd favorite sporting event begins today and runs for the next two weeks in the Alaskan wilderness. The winner will likely cross the finish line in 9 or 10 days. So remote that most of the Iditarod Trail is only accessible by air, snow machine or dogsled. Fans follow the event via GPS tracker and wait anxiously for any video posted from checkpoints.
