The Guardians (13-15) are currently 3.5 games behind the Twins as the calendar turns to May 1st. Statistically, here are some of Cleveland's rank in MLB:

Batting: 28th........Avg. .232

HR's: 29th...........17 (above only Washington)

Stolen Bases: 2nd with 35 (only Pittsburgh has more....41)

The Guardians have not won a home series to date (0-4) and are 4-8 overall at Progressive Field.

Cleveland traditionally comes out slow through April, then starts some winning momentum in May. Maybe this will once again hold true in 2023.

 Let's hope that the Guardians can get things going in a good direction starting this month. Lack of HR is concerning, pitching has been inconsistent, winning at home has been hard, and RF still not settled with Gonzales and Brennan platooning.

The AL Central right now looks to be a 2 team battle, with the Tigers, White Sox, and Royals all struggling.
