In short: The top league of Women's soccer in America, the NWSL, has a systemic problem of coaches abusing players, including sexually, and the powers that be covered it up and swept it under the rug. The NWSL is run underneath the umbrella of the US Soccer Federation, the same group that runs the US Men's and Women's national teams. Top executives there were in on the coverup as well. Even worse, this report details some abuses that happened in youth soccer as well.
I'm only halfway though and I am just sickened. It's a long report, but all the gross explicit stuff is in sections 4-6.
