Long story short: because we won’t be able to get together in person to celebrate the upcoming 50th-anniversary of our record-setting high school soccer team, my former teammates/classmates and I decided to come together (virtually) and create a video (see below) that’s a takeoff of that fabulous Captain Morgan commercial.
We shared it with Captain Morgan’s marketing group because they are a sponsor/partner of Major League Soccer and we figured they might get a kick out of it.
Well, they were so delighted that they sent us a wonderful gift package: commemorative/customized bottles with the names on the label of each of my ten classmates who went on to become captains of their college varsity soccer teams (for us to celebrate with when we are finally able to get together in person and raise a glass and toast one another). How cool is that?! Thank you Captain Morgan!
