Cardale started his XFL career about as good as anyone could have expected, winning his first two games and looking like a potential early MVP candidate in the process. His next 2 games however were a much different story however, losing his first start since highschool in a horrible 4 int performance followed by another blowout loss.

The first quarter today was unfortunately more of the same as Cardale threw another interception on the Defenders' second drive bringing his season total to 7 picks tied for most in the XFL. The Defenders ended up winning 15 to 6 over St. Louis behind a strong defensive performance. Backup Quarterback Tyree Jackson played mostly mistake free but finished with an unspectacular 9/14 passing for 41 yards and a touchdown through his 3+ quarters of play.
