A class of 25 high school players lost 13 players to transfers. This was the first class of players who were allowed to transfer without sitting out a season for their entire careers. You know the names of the significant players, and then you see a bunch of names that fade into the ether.

The average class size coming out of high school for these 5 classes was 23 players and the average number who transferred out was 11.  That's a 48% transfer rate for high school recruits from Ohio State in the past 5 classes.

I think the only difference is that now players are transferring earlier instead of sitting around for 2-3 years without getting much or any playing time.
