Ryan Day went for seemingly every 4th down this year, embracing a so-called aggressive approach & was being heralded for it.
Then, like clockwork, he reverted back to timid mode in The Game & punted the ball away in a tied game. 4th & 7 at Michigan’s 37… he turtles up & punts.
The message was sent to the team loud & clear - fear & hesitation had taken over. That was so sad to see & symbolized the loss imo
