Happy Monday, Eleven Warriors!
Hope everybody enjoyed their Father's Day weekend. As discussed in The Weekender yesterday, the Big 12 is preparing to sell its naming rights to a sponsor pending majority approval from the presidents of the schools within the conference. The sponsor will have its name take the place of the word "Big," which means one of the Power Five conferences seems poised to become the Allstate 12.
Given the continued commercialization of college football, it's hard to imagine other major conferences won't follow suit some time in the future. Therefore, for This Week's Question, we encourage you to peer into the future and ask yourself: If the Big Ten were to sell its naming rights, what sponsor would you want to rename the conference?
Although not necessarily a universally recognized brand across the Midwest, I will firmly advocate for the "Waffle House Ten." Matt Gutridge suggested "The Big Ten, Brought to You by Big Sandy." Ramzy Nasrallah wants either the "RoTel Ten" or "The Big Ten Conference Presented by Chubb," which will assuredly give the Allstate 12 a run for its money in the ongoing battle for insurance market share.
But what about you? If the Big Ten sells out, what sponsor do you want to see in the conference's rebrand?
