LSU went 10-3 under Burrow in 2018 with 57.9 comp%, 2894yds 16 tds and 5 ints! We all know what happened the next year as he led them to 15 wins and 60 TD passes!  The bar is just so high here, it’s not realistic to think we’ll have a top 3 qb as our starting QB every year!  While McCord has been a downgrade to what we’ve had for the last 3 signal callers!  He was also one drive away from leading us to a #1,2 spot in the poles and a run at the title, then next thrown to the wayside! I just honestly think most people forget the human side of who players are and the fact that they take time to develop their skills!  While McCord’s ceiling ultimately isn’t as high as most and his mobility leaves much to be desired, the expectations here have become unachievable!  Not saying he would have been anywhere close to 2019 Burrow but we’ve been spoiled with the play of Haskins, Fields and Stroud!  Just saying I feel we need temper our expectations and allow our QBs (Lincoln,Brown or portal QB) to grow and see the potential beyond the temporary growing pains!  The playing field is getting leveled through NIL deals, the portal-potty and an increasingly harder schedule!
