The 2023 Ohio State football season will mark five years since Dwayne Haskins etched his name into the sport's history books with a legendary campaign. The late, great Buckeye quarterback completed 70% of his passes for 4,831 yards and 50 touchdowns, earning himself a trip to New York for the Heisman ceremony in the process.
Outside of one painful evening in West Lafayette, the Dwayne Haskins era was an extremely fun ride for the Ohio State faithful. Before his meteoric rise from first-time starter to first-round draft pick even began, he endeared himself to Buckeye fans with a fantastic performance in relief of an injured J.T. Barrett at the Big House in 2017.
It was officially his show after edging out Joe Burrow for the starting job in spring ball, and Haskins never looked back. There was the dramatic comeback on the road against No. 9 Penn State. Then, in his return home to Maryland, he refused to let Ohio State lose; the redshirt sophomore signal-caller threw for 405 yards and tallied 6 total touchdowns in a thrilling 52-51 overtime win.
Who could forget the three-game run that Haskins put together to close out his college career? He dropped 62 points on Michigan's top-ranked defense in The Shoe, struck a Heisman pose against Northwestern in the Big Ten Championship game, then torched a Washington secondary featuring five future NFL players in the Rose Bowl.
The kid from Potomac gave Buckeye Nation countless great memories. What moment from Dwayne Haskins' sparkling career in Columbus is your personal favorite, and why?
