We went into that game down our best wide receiver, our best two running backs, and our second best tight end.

Most teams sustaining that level of attrition get blown out (see Florida in the 2020 Cotton Bowl), and the fact that we just went toe to toe with the #1 ranked team in the nation should tell you all you need to know about Ryan Day.  That guy can flat out coach.

Now I am right there with you that if he loses to michigan again, he is not the right man for this job, and I would like to see a dedicated offensive play caller.  And I felt like dying watching that game go the way it did.  But I think that we should also be pretty amazed at the coaching job, in the face of injuries that would devastate every other team in the nation.
