I have watched the Buckeyes since as far back as I can remember. I grew up in a family full of Buckeye faithful. And in the middle of that group was THEE BUCKEYE, MEE !!!! I watched as Troy Smith carved defenses all year to the tune of a Heisman Trophy. I watched Terrellle Pryor,Braxton Miller, J.T. Barrett, Dwayne Haskins,Justin Fields and now CJ Stroud absolutely revolutionize the QB position at Ohio State. I have a simple question that I've asked myself, among MANY OTHERS OFC, after this most recent loss to Michigan. The loss also all but clinched the aforementioned Heisman Trophy for USC quarterback Caleb Williams. Which brings me to my question. Why is it that Lincoln Riley has had 3-4 Heisman winners and Ryan Day has been to every ceremony(except 2018 as he hadn't taken over yet) an not had a winner? Although the teams have enjoyed similar success. The difference in a couple 12-0 seasons and the 11-1 campaigns we've had the last 2 years I believe is we haven't had THEE GUY. We have had ABSOLUTE STUDS, especially since Day took the reigns in 2019. If we had the Heisman winner we could be enjoying back to back 12-0 regular seasons and a nice lengthy winning streak over our rivals. So.....Why the lack of a Heisman winner ??
