Five NFL teams will have representatives at Saturday’s Ohio State road game at Northwestern.
Two representatives from the Chicago Bears will make the short drive from Chicago to Evanston to watch the Buckeyes play the Wildcats, while the Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks will also have scouts in attendance.
The Bears have good reason to send multiple staffers to the game, as offensive tackle is one of their biggest positions of need and Saturday’s contest will feature three offensive tackles who are all likely to be early-round picks in the 2023 NFL draft: Northwestern’s Peter Skoronski and Ohio State’s Paris Johnson Jr. and Dawand Jones.
Of course, there’s plenty of other Ohio State prospects for those scouts to also watch, while Northwestern has a few potential 2023 draft picks – namely Skoronski and versatile defensive lineman Adetomiwa Adebawore – who scouts will want to evaluate as they go up against top competition.
