We see all of the hype the media gives Michigan/Tennessee. Relax, numbers don't lie.

Alabama is not as great as they have been in the past, this year they look like an average team, they snuck by Texas, A&M, and were one PI call away from covering the spread vs the Vols. Tennessee is a good team, but an extremely bad defense specifically their pass D, OSU would rip that D apart.

Now Michigan, we have all see Joel Klatt's take, and I believe Joel Klatt and Josh Pate are two of the best CFB voices in the game. Klatt does overlook some major factors that we as OSU fans see.

A few points to Klatt:

1. Michigan got the monkey of their back last year, changes their mindset going into that game (Klatt is right).

2. Michigan has a good team to hang with OSU.

A few things Klatt is missing/underestimating, it took the following for Michigan to finally pull out a win:

1. Weather changes the game and there's no arguing that point. Advantage Michigan

2. Home field advantage. Advantage Michigan

3. OSU was never "out" of the game. Yes the score was 42-28, a garbage TD to "emphasize" the win for Harbaugh.

4. Last and possibly biggest point, it took a historically bad OSU D for a historically good (their history) Michigan team to squeak out a win at home in all of those conditions. OSU relied on their Offense to bail out the defense and it finally caught up to them (and Alabama 2020).

5. Penn St. was a vastly overrated top 10 team. Don't let their ranking fool you.
