The Ohio State defense has moved into the top 10 in total defense. They are giving up an average of 264 yards per game. There are 4 B1G teams ahead of them allowing fewer yards, #2 Minnesota (222ypg), #3 Illinois (229), #6 TTUN (252), and #7 Iowa (254).
The Buckeyes pass defense is 7th in the country with Minnesota (3) being the only B1G team ahead of OSU. The Buckeye run defense is 31st at 110 ypg, so there is much room for improvement on that end of the defense.
Offensively, the Buckeyes are 1st in scoring offense at 49 points per game. Finally moving past the skunk weasels who continue to drop as they play teams more their size, rather than the sisters of the poor in their first 3 games. TTUN is now 7th at 45 ppg, down from a high of 55 ppg after they beat up powerhouses Colorado State, Hawaii, and the ever dangerous Uconn offense.
Total offense, OSU dropped a bit in yardage after gaining "only" 413 yards against the Fighting Schianos. They are still #3 in the country averaging 527 yards per game.
