Was just thinking about how the CFP will function if a playoff team gets a COVID disqualification. The PAC 12 has announced Oregon will take Washington's place in their championship game due to COVID. Does the CFP have any backup plans to address this contingency?

The following CBS sports article had this to say as of December 9:

The management committee decided last month not to replace a semifinal team that can't play due to COVID-19. That doesn't mean there would be a forfeit. It also leaves open the possibility the CFP could push back the Jan. 1 semifinals and Jan. 11 national championship, sources told CBS Sports.

Does anyone have any more updates on what may/will happen if, say, Alabama were to be disqualified due to COVID? Do #5 or #6 stand by and slide in?
