As The Game was cancelled this year, so was the conclusion of my yearly activity of mapping the starting rosters and their recruiting ratings against each other.  Then, an interesting thought occurred: Would we have beaten ttun with our 2nd team?

Obviously we've seen some crazy things this year with Covid, including more player playing important snaps than we might normally.  I know that comparing the recruiting ratings gets less valuable as you do down the depth chart, because what you're really comparing now is not just talent, but experience levels as well.  All that being said, here's what I did:

- I took ttun's roster as it was last described before the Covid issues.  That includes injuries and substitutions they had made.

- For OSU, I took the starting roster as is today (also including injuries), and eliminated all those players as options for the comparison.

- Primarily by snap counts, I then replaced all those players with the next options on the roster to get:

Ironically from a talent perspective, this 2nd team roster is exactly as talented as the starting roster, with an average player rating of 0.956.

However, the question to you is, what would the final score have been of this game?  Who would actually win?
