If you're keeping track of which Ohio State players have returned to practice after being unavailable for last week's game at Michigan State, you can add right tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere to the list, thanks to the latest photos from Ohio State's football Twitter account:

Earlier this week, Ohio State posted photos from its Wednesday practice that included linebacker Tuf Borland and safety Josh Proctor.
It hasn't been confirmed whether those players were unavailable due to positive COVID-19 tests or other reasons, but it should be known that while players who test positive are unable to play for 21 days, they are able to return to practice after 14 days. That means players returning to practice this week might not have been able to play this week if the Michigan game hadn't been canceled, but they should be available to play next week against Northwestern in the Big Ten Championship Game.
Ryan Day, who is also back at practice and confirmed Thursday that all of the assistant coaches who missed the Michigan State game are back now too, indicated Thursday that the Buckeyes expect to have all the players who tested positive before the canceled game against Illinois back this week, but that they have to continue to be as diligent about COVID-19 protocols as ever so other players don't test positive.
“We’re in a pretty good place right now with that. But it’s day-to-day,” Day said. “So the good news is, the guys that were affected with it the last week or so are starting to get back into the rhythm, we’re getting them back into practice and they should be ready to roll for the game. But at the same time, everyone else has gotta be really on top of their game and really being careful.”
