Having said that, has anyone considered the possibility of the 800 pound gorilla showing up, uninvited, and throwing a monkey-wrench into the playoffs? I'm talking about COVID. What if one (or more) of the two semifinal teams comes down with an outbreak and cannot play? Would the 5th place (6th, etc.). take their place? What about the Championship game? Would it be delayed or simply cancelled? TOSU has already been affected by COVID. Alabama's coach has had COVID. Clemson, I believe, had a bout with it. Hmm...
