Adam Rittenberg posted a string of tweets recently that seem to say that there is still hope for an October start and a chance at the CFP for the Bucks. To summarize...

1. Although the B1G's statement today about that letter was pretty vanilla, A.R. believes it may point towards a moved up timeline, and "from what he's been told", late Oct. is still a possibility.

2. B1G has been working on daily testing options, even without the White House's resources. Goal is to have systems in place for all teams, hence the delay in voting/correspondence. (I still hate Kevin Warren I will not defend him at all)

3. A.R. proposed a possible Oct. 24/31 start for the B1G, and in his opinion, the CFP committee would likely consider OSU for the playoff if the time and circumstances came about (keeping the B1G out means putting an asterisk on the championship). Plus, with some Big 12 games already pushed back, maybe the timelines would align more than we had thought.

Bottom line is it had seemed like most (if not all) hope was gone for an October season, but perhaps the situation is just a bit brighter than what it seemed like earlier today.
