Ohio State has definitely had some notable big wins the past decade, going 9-1 against Michigan, winning a 'chip and winning numerous Big Ten titles but there are some games in my opinion that are under appreciated when talking big wins:
1. @Michigan State in 2014
We all fondly remember the 2014 season for the final 3 games of the season, but the magic (to me) began when #14 Ohio State entered into Spartan Stadium as 3.5 point underdogs and left with a statement win and established themselves as a National Title Contender.
2. @Oklahoma 2016
The season ending the way it did and Oklahoma beating us the following season takes away some of the shine from this win, but it was still a marvelous win at the time. Ohio Stats dominated an Oklahoma team that finished the season 11-2 and ranked #3 in the final coaches poll.
3. Ohio State - Michigan State 2017
Coming off an embarrassment at Iowa Ohio State faced an immediate test, #12 ranked Michigan State. Ohio State could have folded and quit on the season but instead went out and dominated them by a score of 48-3 before winning their first Big Ten Title in three years and winning the Cotton Bowl against a talented USC squad.
4. Urban's last game - Rose Bowl
The Big Ten has only won the Rose Bowl 3 times in the decade with Ohio State claiming two of those victories. The game was a little closer than expected but winning a Rose Bowl will always be a prized accomplishment and it's sad that the playoff system has deteriorated its value to many fans.
5. Ohio State-Arkansas
The game happened, you can't tell me otherwise! Ohio State beat the hated SEC in their own backyard.
What are some games from the past decade that you consider to be underrated/under appreciated?
