College football watch list season has begun once again.
The Lott IMPACT Trophy released its list of nominees – exactly 42 nominees, representing the jersey number of award namesake Ronnie Lott – on Friday afternoon, and Ohio State safety Jordan Fuller made the list for a second consecutive year.

A rising senior, Fuller is entering his third year as a starting safety for the Buckeyes. He tied for Ohio State's team lead with 81 total tackles last season. Fuller was also a team captain for Ohio State in 2018 and earned Academic All-American honors for a second consecutive year.
The Lott IMPACT Trophy, which was first awarded in 2004, honors one of college football's best defensive players in recognition of both their performance on the field and their personal character. James Laurinaitis, who won the award in 2008, is Ohio State's only previous winner of the award.
