Here's a comparison of Dan Hope's selection hopes for the NFL draft compared to the actual draft.
Dan made a good call figuring Dwayne Haskins would be taken by the Washington Redskins for their QB. But the Redskins did not make a deal with the Detroit Lions as Dan suspected to move up from 15th to 8th in the draft. Actually that deal did not make much sense. If the NY Giants were possibly taking a QB with their 6th position, then it would not do any good for the Redskins to move up to the 8th spot. As it turns out, the Giants chose Daniel Jones of Duke, so Haskins was still available for the Redskins.
Note also that Dan got the first 3 selection correct. However, it was universally thought that Kyler Murray would go to Arizona, Bosa to the 49ers and 'Bama's DT Q Williams to the New York Jets. Dan also nailed right on #10 Devin Bush to the Steelers and #28 Jerry Tillery to the Chargers.
Dan whiffed badly on a couple of surprising choices. but so did everyone else.
