Rod Smith could be returning to the state of Ohio.
The former Ohio State running back had a tryout with the Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday, according to a report by ESPN's Field Yates.
The Bengals tried out free agent RB Rod Smith, per source. Hes played in Dallas since 2015 and is the brother of standout LB Jaylon Smith.

Smith spent the past four seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, serving as Ezekiel Elliott's primary backup this past season, but he's been on the free-agent market since March. Should he sign with the Bengals, he projects to be their No. 3 running back behind Joe Mixon and Giovani Bernard.
