While he looks to earn more playing time on the football field this spring, Ohio State defensive tackle Antwuan Jackson has already been recognized for his improvement in the classroom.
Jackson was honored Wednesday night as the recipient of the Miechelle Willis Award, which recognizes student-athlete who have made significant strides in their academic coursework during their time at Ohio State, according to the Buckeyes' senior athletic academic counselor, Eric Vendemia.

Jackson had a winding road to becoming a Buckeye, starting his college career at Auburn and then spending a semester at Blinn College before arriving at Ohio State in January 2018. But while the redshirt junior is still trying to find his footing on the field and earn a spot in Ohio State's defensive line rotation, his award-winning academic progress is sure to please Larry Johnson and the rest of the Buckeyes' coaches.
