One takeaway from the first five Buckeye victories, is that this team has not backed down one bit. The TCU and PSU games were far from perfect, but this team is 5-0 having played a tough stretch of the regular season schedule. These yound men have fought so hard for the opportunity to go 6-0.
- The depth has been tested. Multiple key players have missed time due to injury, and multiple players were lost to graduation and the NFL. While not always perfect, new guys have stepped and gotten the job done. Returning players have stepped up and played bigger roles. We have great talent throughout the depth chart and it has showed in the first 5 games.
- Things weren't looking very good at times at TCU and PSU. This team did not back down one bit and found ways to make big plays and win the game. In my opinion, this shows more than cruising the first 5 games untested.
- This team is getting better. The coaches coached through the Meyer suspension and the team is only getting better. The defense was much improved against PSU and will continue to get better. TCU and PSU put our QB and o-line under a ton of pressure and the coaches made adjustments and the players found a way to get the win.
While the first 5 games weren't perfect, and there is room for growth, there is a lot to be excited about moving forward this season. Meyer said we haven't seen anything close to this team's potential, and I believe him. Go Bucks!
