Part of what leads me to hope that Ohio State has been tinkering with the play calling this season in prep for the home stretch is the run play calling. For example, this week we saw only one jet sweep that I can remember and it was to Marshall, not Miller. We also ran few if any counter plays, which seemingly were all we ran against Minnesota. Additionally, there was one play at the end of the Illinois game with Cardale that almost looked like it was put there for tape purposes, not an actual play expected: Cardale pitched the ball to Miller BACKWARDS like a toss, which is a perfect set up for a pass downfield for Miller.
What do you guys think? Have the coaching staff being trying things out each game based on match ups given to see what works best and put things on tape? Basically don't show all your cards in one game until you need them.
