All the Nebraska fans I know told me during the offseason that Beck being the new QB coach would be a train wreck. At first, I thought they were just disgruntled with the whole Pelini era and staff by association. They basically said that Beck did draw up some nifty plays every once in a while, but the fact that Taylor Martinez and Tommy Armstrong both saw minimal improvement under him in 4+ seasons was embarrassing.
To an extent, I saw their point... Martinez had a pretty good season his redshirt FR year, but it is almost like he plateau after it. Every offseason, you would hear about how much Martinez improved and is going to make Nebraska a contender for the B1G, only for him to come out and do exactly the same as the previous season.
Then after watching some Cardale's passes this week, his form on some of them reminded me a lot of this...
So am I overreacting, or is this a legitimate trend by Tim Beck?
