Picture Ohio State becoming more than just "Legends" and truly becoming "Leaders" by putting an end to the SEC scheduling gripes. I know that Bert and Mama Bielema got a taste of their own #karma this weekend, but what if the Big Ten and ACC played in a conference showdown every year similar to what they do for basketball?
Based on last year's finishes, here's what I came up with for a hypothetical 2015 schedule.
Ohio State vs Florida State
MSU vs Clemson
Wisconsin vs GT
Nebraska vs Louisville
Minnesota vs Duke
Iowa vs BC
Maryland vs UNC
Rutgers vs NC State
Michigan vs Pitt
Illinois vs UVA
Northwestern vs Miami
Penn State vs VT
Purdue vs Syracuse
Indiana (defending SEC W champs) vs Wake Forest
Not only does this bolster SOS, but it can draw some of the national voter attention to the Big Ten early in the season to help the middle of the road teams. I know there are some serious mismatches above (VT is not going to finish 3-5 in the ACC every season, nor is Penn State going 2-6 yearly), but it could be interesting.
Thoughts?
