David Boston is the best receiver at Ohio State when it comes to catching passes. Boston owns the number one and number two spots on the list. During his phenomenal 1998 season Boston caught 85 passes. That is 16 more receptions than Cris Carter's third place performance in 1986.

1995-1998
Half of the top 10 occurred between 1995 and 1998. During that four year span fans watched David Boston, Terry Glenn and Dee Miller light up the Ohio State record book. What the Ohio State single season receptions record book looked like after 1998:

  1. David Boston.......85
  2. David Boston.......73
  3. Cris Carter...........69
  4. Terry Glenn..........64
  5. Dee Miller.............59
  6. Dee Miller.............58

Imagine what numbers Boston and Miller would have had in 1997 if Joe Germaine had been behind center for the entire season.

DOUBLE VISION
Four players are currently listed twice in the top 10. Those players are David Boston (1st and 2nd), Cris Carter (3rd and 10th), Corey Brown (5th and 7th) and Dee Miller (9th and 10th).

Corey Brown is the player I was most surprised to see on the list. To see his name listed twice was shocking. I took a closer look at the numbers and Brown's receiving totals were the lowest of all the other receivers. Brown did catch a lot of passes, but the majority did not go for big yards.
