Apologies to those expecting the Recruiting Recap. With the unexpected posting issue Friday morning and some life happenings Friday evening I am going to postpone the Recruiting Recap for Monday morning...I hope.

To get you through the weekend I am posting Single Season Sack Leaders as a forum topic today. Sunday, I will write Single Season Reception Leaders (as requested by a loyal reader).

In 2014, Joey Bosa had Ohio State's second highest sack total in a single season.

ALMOST 14 FOR '14
Joey Bosa almost tied Vernon Gholston (2007) for the Ohio State single season record with 14 sacks. Bosa finished 0.5 a sack short.

SACK MEN
Joey Bosa and Darron Lee combined for 21.5 sacks in 2014. Bosa almost tied the all-time Ohio State single season record with of 14 sacks. I feel bad for the quarterbacks playing the Buckeyes in 2015. I might have to pour a drink for their bruised and battered bodies.

SACKS IN THE '90s
By looking at the top 10 it appears that players having sacks started in 1991. Five players from the '90 and five from 2000+ make up the list. Andy Katzenmoyer and A.J. Hawk are the only non defensive linemen on the list.

Noah Spence and what should have been. Damn the No. 8 curse at Ohio State.

1994, 2005 and 2015?
1994 and 2005 are the only seasons represented twice in the top 10. I have a feeling that this time next year 2015 will replace 2005 on the list. Would 2014 have had two players listed if Noah Spence played?
