After watching the replay again, Ohio State beat the No.1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide in the Sugar Bowl playoff WITHOUT a 1st down in 33%, or 1/3 of the entire football game? OSU's last 1st down in the second half was at approximately the 8:00 minute mark of the 3rd quarter, and they did not pick up another 1st down on offense until the 4:01 mark left in the ball game. That is a total of 19 minutes, which translates to about 32-33% of the entire game clock. That is an incredible stat, and reveals how dominant the Buckeye defense was in that game.
