Three positives if Ohio State is not selected for the College Football Playoff:
- The Buckeyes will be an extremely angry and motivated team going into 2015.
- If Ohio State wins the bowl game
they can call themselves national champs. EDIT: If Ohio State wins the bowl game the committee might hold Ohio State in higher regard next year. Even if Ohio State has a loss (or two). - The Buckeyes won't be penalized next year if they made the playoff this year and did not win the semifinal game.
