At the last coaching hire Ohio State ranked 1st in Big Ten titles with 22, 1st in Big Ten Tournament titles with 5, and 6th nationally in Final Fours with 11.

It has been a decade since any such banners have been raised.
We play in a 19.5k morgue built for concerts and Disney on Ice (assuming the superior downtown arena hasn’t already been booked for the same acts), accommodating to facilitate 1-3k ice hockey crowds. Elsewhere, Michigan, MSU, IU, and Purdue all have true basketball arenas.

Ohio State is a football school. I get it. But regardless, Ohio State is also home to the 12th best basketball program all-time and is a top 5 revenue school. Unfortunately OSU Athletic Administration seems to think having 35+ varsity sports is essential and having a top 10 basketball program, paying for enough for a top 10 head coach (or hell, even having a true basketball arena) is not essential.

So as Buckeye basketball fans, what can we do? The current low-level investment in “ok but not great” coaching and facilities is unacceptable.
