I was curious about the Buckeyes recent recruiting performance and subsequent performance on the floor so I put together an aggregate of Scout recruiting rankings for the past 6 years including 2015.
This may mean nothing but it's interesting none the less. Clearly, the Buckeyes are getting players. Are the players that they get improving? Are they getting coached up? Are they getting the right kind of players given the type of offense they want to run? What kind of offense do they want to run?
Does Coach Matta have a plan to recruit players to fit a particular philosophy or does he just try to get ballers and figure out how to use them later?
The bottom of the list is just as interesting as the top. In the past 6 years, Villanova has signed exactly 1 player rated as a Top 100 prospect.
