The absolutely funniest thing can happen this weekend. Lets take a look at some potential chaos
I count 6 spots clinched Ohio St, Indiana, Texas A&M, Oregon, Georgia, Texas Tech, regardless if these teams lose
What happens to Alabama if Georgia wins. Alabama would be a 3 loss team, already ranked at 10 which is danger zone for getting left out.
BYU beats Texas Tech, Texas Tech and BYU both get bids take it from 6 to 7 with this
What if Duke beats Virginia, Duke is not getting in and now the ACC is completely boxed out (more on this in a moment)
Tulane wins and they are in so now thats 8 spots.
What about JMU, they would be 12 and 1 and would be higher "ranked" then Duke and would be a conference champ. Which means now you are at 9 spots taken with 3 to go.
Miami should be ranked higher then ND, not only did they beat ND head to head but the 4 common opponents they have played Miami has beaten them better then ND did. But they wont because really its about eyeballs and ND brings more eyeballs then Miami. I think they put ND in which now youre at 10 spots taken
So that leaves 2 spots and this is where it gets very, very interesting because you are looking at Ole Miss who just lost their head coach, Oklahoma, and conference champ runner up Alabama. Gonna be very funny all that SEC SEC SEC crap is gonna go out the window real quick
Who gets left out, my pick would be Ole Miss, even though that would be "punishing the players" I mean thank goodness the NCAA doesnt run this thing
