Auto Bids: Ohio State, Georgia, Virginia, Texas Tech, James Madison
Personally I take North Texas over James Madison but I don't think the committee will. Both played WSU and North Texas beat them easily, while James Madison struggled. Either way, won't matter, 12 seed is getting killed by the 5.
Alabama puts up a close fight against Georgia, and the committee doesn't want to punish them for having to play an extra game, and they take the last spot.
I think you get a nice bracket out of this:
| 1) Ohio State (13-0) | ||||
| 8) Oklahoma (10-2) | Rose Bowl | 1) Ohio State (14-0) | ||
| 9) Notre Dame (10-2) | 9) Notre Dame (11-2) | |||
| Fiesta Bowl | 1) Ohio State (15-0) | |||
| 4) Texas Tech (12-1) | ||||
| 5) Texas A&M (11-1) | Cotton Bowl | 5) Texas Tech (13-1) | ||
| 12) James Madison (12-1) | 5) Texas A&M (12-1) | |||
| Miami | 1) Ohio State (16-0) | |||
| 3) Indiana (12-1) | ||||
| 6) Oregon (11-1) | Orange Bowl | 3) Indiana (13-1) | ||
| 11) Virginia (11-2) | 6) Oregon (12-1) | |||
| Peach Bowl | 3) Indiana (14-1) | |||
| 2) Georgia (12-1) | ||||
| 7) Ole Miss (11-1) | Sugar Bowl | 10) Alabama (12-3) | ||
| 10) Alabama (10-3) | 10) Alabama (11-3) | |||
Some really good 2nd round matchups based on this. You have the rematch of last year's title game, you have a Texas showdown, you have a weird Rose Bowl-like game rematch, and you have an SEC Championship rematch in the Sugar Bowl.
If Alabama wins the SEC title game, then the bracket gets flipped quite a lot.

Semi-finals end up identical after some switching around.
