Long story short, the NCAA is appealing a US district court preliminary injunction preventing them from enforcing eligibility rules regarding prior JUCO participation by four WVU football players.
Even though narrow in scope, an eventual court loss or settlement by the NCAA might mark the beginning of the end for the Association's ability to regulate any player aspect of college sports . Which begs the question of what would replace the NCAA?
