Loosely ordered by positional need/past recruitment/school budget (I am continuing to edit):
UCLA (deal reportedly pending, this would mean he is coming to the Shoe on 11/15)
Syracuse (this is my rooting interest because Tennessee plays Syracuse Week 1, though it's in Atlanta not Neyland)
Florida State
Sacramento State (shelled out a lot in nil and want to join the Pac-12)
Virginia Tech
Maryland
Washington
USC
ND
Ore
UNC (my gut tells me Belichick doesn't like the big money driven guys)
Texas Tech (would he really be that big of an upgrade over Morton? They do have the $$ though)
Tulane
--- (below this line I would say very doubtful, but these schools either have the resources or have a past relationship to where it's possible)
Colorado (but they wouldn't do that to Kayden Salter, would they?)
K State
BYU
Pitt
Arizona
Perhaps another alternative is if another team has a significant injury closer to the start of the season. I'm pretty sure you can remain in the transfer portal indefinitely. Or he could wait until UT lands their transfer and try to go there. Teams that have allegedly said no: Notre Dame, USC, Oregon (apparently Lanning called Heupel to let him know he was shopping), Ohio State, scUM, Tulane, TTU, UNC, all other SEC teams. Seems like many equally strong candidates. A commenter informed me that within SEC transfer is not allowed in spring. Thoughts?
