This story bounced around twitter and reddit over the weekend. Deadspin picked up the pieces and wrote about it here. It makes me glad that we have a fan site with integrity that encourages reader engagement and is as free as you want it to be.

Basically Devin Brown, a QB formerly committed to USC, was visiting Ole Miss. Yancey Porter, a long time recruiting reporter for Ole Miss Spirit on the 247Sports website, got his phone number then ran with a story quoting Brown without actually speaking to him. Brown called him out about it, Porter doubled down hoping it would go away, but it didn't. The fan site backed their reporter which ended up resulting in disruption for them as well.
