I'm really disappointed by all the Sayin hate.
He missed two clear throws last night. Aside from that he was a complete stud this year for a RS-frosh.
College football hasn't seen a QB with better ball placement in a long time. We haven't seen a QB at this age level with the ability to know where all his outlets are in some time.
The INT against Michigan was an error but he was forcing the ball to his stud WR after being without him for 2 weeks. No excuse.
The INT against Indiana seemed to me to be poor tape prep from the coaching staff. They never anticipated that safety coming down against pressure.
The INT last night was 100% on Day in my opinion. You don't run a WR outside screen with the nickel in press man. Smith was taught to hook block. The defender didn't play Innis he played the route, jumped it and housed it. Day needs to check out of that.
Otherwise, Sayin had 287 yards last night in a game where Tate had the worst game of his career and looked disinterested at times, where the OL allowed 5 sacks and 22 pressures, and where at times the play calling was questionable.
I'm really not sure what you can mad at him for. He missed two throws but still had us in position to win the game if not for a phantom holding call and inexplicable slow play from the coaching staff.
Give the kid some credit.
