Penn State hosts the Wolverines in what will be the biggest contest of week eight.

The biggest weekend of the season was no match for us.

Our winning ways continued during college football's seventh week. It was the biggest slate of the year as we had 17 picks on the books. At this point, is it really even a surprise that our strategy is working on a weekly basis? This marks the sixth consecutive winning weekend in our quest to surpass Bill Gates' measly $89 bill.

We nailed 9 of those 17 picks and things got off to a rocking start on Friday night. We were correct on the under 56.5 for the shocker that went down between Clemson and Syracuse. Also hitting were two bets for the Washington State/California game. We had the Golden Bears +14.5 and under 55 points for the game.

The final score? Cal 37, Washington 3. #ShootersShoot

What was Clay's view heading into that one?

Washington State -15.5 at Cal, the over 53 (Now -14 and 53.5)

Cal has lost to Oregon by 24 and Washington by 31 in the past two weeks.

Now we get Luke Falk, who is on fire, going up against a defense that can’t stop anyone and suddenly the line is just two touchdowns and the over/under is only 53?

Washington State is going to score 40 or more and Cal is going to score 20 or more.

That’s an easy cover and an easy over.

Mike Leach flat out gets it done for the Outkick crew.

Honestly, I feel like this Friday night quad of picks is stealing. We’re all going to be 4-0 before we even wake up on Saturday.

Needless to say, it was a rough start for our main man.

Elsewhere, we had Arkansas covering +30 against Alabama. This was one we didn't feel good about and of course Bert Bielema goes on and loses by 32 in Tuscaloosa. We had Oklahoma -8 against Texas, but the Longhorns kept it pretty close in their 29-24 defeat.

South Carolina delivered for us +3 against the Volunteers and may have put the nail in Butch's coffin. There wasn't a whole lot of scoring in the Wisconsin/Purdue game. We had the under 51.5 and the Badgers pulled out a 17-9 home victory. West Virginia also managed to cover in a shootout against the Red Raiders.

The Clemson game certainly was a surprise. We correctly had the under in that one but also had Dabo covering by 23. While we are sad about missing on the line, we always love a little bit of chaos to shake things up a bit. That's a game that should have far-reaching implications.

Weekly reminder:

  • No analysis is involved as we are just making the opposite picks. None of this actually reflects our gambling thoughts, opinions, or insight.
  • For now we are sticking with $10 on each line. Please note that the lines do move throughout the week.
  • Ohio State won't be included on our end.

Fully expecting another winner this weekend, but there are some concerns. Most notably is the Tennessee pick. The Volunteers are a disaster and Butch Jones is now heading to Alabama to square off against Nick Saban. A line of 36 is pretty steep, but siding with Butch is not something I prefer to be a part of.

I don't particularly like the under for the Auburn/Arkansas game either. There should be plenty of points in that one. Miami and Syracuse is tough to get a read on. There's no question that the Hurricanes are the more talented team, but the same can be said about Clemson last weekend. Miami looked against Georgia Tech but here's to hoping they can bounce back.

I do like our picks for the weekend's premier matchup. Michigan is not playing well at all and now they hit the road to Happy Valley. This feels like one the Wolverines can keep close, so I'm feeling the +9.5 here. Michigan's offense is an absolute eyesore right now, but its defense is darn good, so I also like the under here.

USC @ Notre Dame is an intriguing one. The Irish are hot right now and the Trojans barely squeaked by Utah last week at the Coliseum. Brian Kelly is not someone I root for, so let's all cheer for Sam Darnold and a road win for the PAC-12.

We don't have quite as many submissions this week, but 11-0 sounds pretty tasty. #GetRich
