No. 3 TCU faced the weakest opponent of any College Football Playoff contender this weekend, and it put together an impeccable blowout of Iowa State.

The Horned Frogs defeated the Cyclones 55-3, and it could have been even worse. TCU dominated all aspects of the game, and its offense knelt on the ball on TCU's final drive rather than embarrass ISU. (Uh, embarrass ISU even further.)

Ohio State likely needs at least one major upset today – in addition to winning the Big Ten Championship Game – to make it to the playoff. The Buckeyes' best non-conference win, Cincinnati, just beat Houston to win a share of the American Athletic Conference, but will that be enough to overtake TCU in the playoff committee's final poll?
